**Russia’s Attacks Against Ukraine Claim 7 Lives, Injure Dozens in One Day**
May 23 was a dark day for Ukraine as Russian attacks resulted in the deaths of seven people and injured 20 others across various regions. The attacks were carried out through mass drone strikes, guided bomb attacks, and shelling.
**Business Enterprise Destroyed in Poltava Oblast**
A particularly destructive attack took place in Poltava Oblast where a Russian mass drone strike destroyed the building of a business enterprise near Kremenchuk. Governor Volodymyr Kohut reported that one person was injured and around 2,000 customers were left without power due to damaged power lines.
**Two Injured in Odesa Oblast**
In Odesa Oblast, two people were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack, according to Governor Oleh Kiper. This is just the latest example of the devastating impact that Russia’s aggression has had on Ukraine’s civilians.
**Donetsk Oblast Suffers Heavy Losses**
The situation in Donetsk Oblast was particularly dire with three people killed and four more injured over the past day. The victims were from the towns of Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Raihorodok, said Governor Vadym Filashkin.
**Kupiansk Hit by Guided Bomb Attack**
In Kharkiv Oblast, a Russian guided bomb attack on Kupiansk injured two 60-year-old employees of a local utility company. Unfortunately, one of the men later died in hospital from his injuries. Another 66-year-old man suffered injuries in the village of Pechenihy.
**Zaporizhzhia Oblast Also Hit**
Two men and a woman were injured near Vasylivka and Polohy in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, said Governor Ivan Fedorov. Russian shelling of an agricultural enterprise near Huliaipole also resulted in injuries to a woman and a man.
**Kherson Oblast Suffers Heaviest Toll**
The heaviest toll was suffered by Kherson Oblast where three people were killed and six others were injured as Russian forces targeted 43 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported on these tragic incidents.
