**Georgian Politics: A Delicate Balance**

In a recent interview, Giorgi Sharashidze, a member of Gakharia – For Georgia, expressed his concern over the arrest of opposition politician Zurab Japaridze. He condemned the move, stating that Japaridze could do more for the country while free.

The issue at hand is the use of parliamentary investigative commissions as a tool for disinformation and distraction from government crimes. Sharashidze accused Georgian Dream of waging hybrid warfare against citizens through this means.

**Disinformation and Hybrid Warfare**

According to Sharashidze, the commission is being used to distract from the government’s own wrongdoing. He criticized the government for not summoning high-ranking officials who committed crimes during the United National Movement’s time.

Sharashidze also highlighted the importance of courage in seeking truth, even on “enemy ground.” He noted that attending a commission can be seen as cooperation with the government and may weaken their position in the long run.

**U.S. Senator Marco Rubio’s Remarks**

The politician also commented on U.S. Senator Marco Rubio’s statement regarding Georgia. Sharashidze rejected Dream’s claim that the U.S. administration has not yet formulated a position on Georgia, stating that it was clearly stated that measures would be taken against the “anti-American government.”

**PM Irakli Kobakhidze’s Visit to Albania and EU Communication**

Sharashidze also commented on Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze’s visit to Albania and his communication with European leaders. He noted that Dream now relies only on gestures and appearances, trying to present etiquette-level interactions as progress in partnerships.

**Local Elections and the Possible Candidacy of Kakha Kaladze**

Finally, Sharashidze spoke about the upcoming municipal elections, stating that under free and fair conditions, none of Dream’s candidates, including Kakha Kaladze for Tbilisi Mayor, could win. He accused Kaladze of being an anti-European mayor who has failed to solve even basic problems in Tbilisi.
