**Russia’s Latest Claim Exposed: Ukrainian Forces Say Russian Troops Faked a Frontline Breakthrough, Then Died**
In the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Russian military correspondents and propaganda outlets have made claims of breaking through the frontline in Dnipropetrovsk region near Novomykolayivka. However, Ukrainian forces have disputed this claim, saying it was nothing more than a fabrication.
According to a report by the Ukrainian analytical project, DeepState, which is reportedly linked to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, the photo posted as evidence of Russian troops crossing into Dnipropetrovsk region was actually taken near Troitske. The report claims that Ukrainian soldiers’ vehicle became entangled in barbed wire overnight and Russian troops later discovered it, took photos with it, and were subsequently eliminated by Ukrainian forces.
**A Fake News Story?**
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration, Serhiy Lysak, also rejected Russia’s claim as fabricated. In a statement on Telegram, he wrote that “It’s a fake – both the so-called ‘news’ and the photo supposedly proving it… They don’t reflect reality and were deliberately published by the enemy to frighten our residents, sow panic, and destabilize the situation.”
**A Strategic or Political Move?**
The claim of breaking through the frontline in Dnipropetrovsk region may seem like a significant one, but analysts view the Russian advance as more political than strategic. The region has not seen active combat to date, and Russian forces have been making limited gains elsewhere.
While this latest claim by Russia may be an attempt to intimidate or demoralize Ukrainian residents, it appears that Ukraine is holding firm on the ground. As tensions continue to rise between Russia and Ukraine, one thing is clear: the truth behind such claims will only come out through thorough investigations and credible sources.
