**Georgia’s Defense Minister Speaks at UN Peacekeeping Conference in Berlin**
On May 13, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani participated in the United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial in Berlin. This event brings together defense ministers from around the world to discuss peacekeeping efforts and share best practices.
Chikovani was invited by his German counterpart, Boris Pistorius, and took part in a panel discussion on “Peacekeeping Reform: More Effective and Safer Peacekeeping.” During his speech, he emphasized the importance of UN peacekeeping missions and highlighted Georgia’s contributions to these efforts. According to a press release from Georgia’s Defense Ministry, Chikovani noted that Georgia has actively participated in peacekeeping efforts not only through UN missions but also NATO and EU-led missions.
