**Russia’s Krasnodar Krai Hit in Alleged Ukrainian Drone Attack**
Last night, May 3rd, Ukraine allegedly targeted Russia’s Krasnodar Krai with a drone attack. According to local officials, four people were injured, including two children, and several buildings were damaged. This attack is the latest in a string of strikes by Ukraine on Russian military targets.
**Russia Continues to Face Drone Attacks**
Russia has been repeatedly hit by Ukrainian drones in recent days. On May 2nd, Moscow claimed that they had intercepted 89 drones over occupied Crimea and another 23 over the Black Sea. This comes as Ukraine continues to target Russian military sites across the country.
**Damage and Casualties Reported**
In Novorossiysk, a port city in Krasnodar Krai, three residential buildings and a grain terminal were damaged. Two children are among those injured in the attack. Debris from downed drones was also found in several villages and towns, including Taman, Yurovka, Tsibanobalka, and Anapa.
**Ukraine’s Military Campaign**
Ukraine has been using drones to target Russian military sites with increasing success. In April, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukrainian drones had destroyed over 83,000 Russian targets, resulting in an 8% increase from the previous month. This campaign is part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to disrupt Russia’s war efforts.
**Russian Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure**
Unfortunately, Russian attacks on Ukraine have often targeted civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. Just last week, at least two people were killed and 33 injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine. These attacks demonstrate the need for increased international pressure on Russia to stop its aggression against Ukraine’s civilians.
