**Massive Student Protest Rocks Kraljevo, Equivalent to 330,000 People in Belgrade**
A sea of students gathered in the central square of Kraljevo on Wednesday evening, with estimates suggesting that around 15,000 people came together between 7 and 8 pm. This impressive turnout is equivalent to a staggering 330,000 people in Belgrade, according to the Archive of Public Gatherings (AoPG).
The AoPG explained that this estimate only accounts for the number of people present on the central square during those two hours and does not take into consideration the foot traffic throughout the day or the situation in the surrounding streets. Despite these limitations, the sheer scale of the protest is a testament to the students’ determination and commitment.
**Remembering the Tragedy in Novi Sad**
The protest was held for 16 hours, as previously announced, in memory of the 16 victims of the tragedy that occurred on November 1, 2024. A concrete canopy at the newly renovated main train station in Novi Sad collapsed, claiming 16 lives. The students’ decision to hold a long-lasting protest is a powerful tribute to the memories of those who lost their lives.
