**Leader of Lelo – Strong Georgia Faces Charges**
Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Aghmashenebeli, has spoken out against charges brought against Mamuka Khazaradze. Khazaradze is the leader of the opposition coalition Lelo – Strong Georgia.
Vashadze said on social media that the charges are an act of political revenge and have nothing to do with justice. He wrote: “The ongoing case against Mamuka Khazaradze is clearly political retribution… The regime is trying to punish everyone who does not accept its lies and injustice.”
**Charges Brought Under Article 349**
The Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against Khazaradze under Article 349 of the Criminal Code. This article states that failing to comply with a request from Georgia’s Parliamentary Temporary Investigative Commission is an offense punishable by a fine or imprisonment.
Vashadze expressed solidarity with Khazaradze and said: “Full solidarity with Mamuka! Ivanishvili cannot stop this fight, and he will inevitably be defeated!”
