Ombudsman Speaks Out Against Strip Searches
The Ombudsman has spoken out against the practice of strip-searching individuals. This is a serious concern for human rights.
Strip searches are considered degrading treatment. The Ombudsman said this is not acceptable in any situation.
A case involving Elene Khoshtaria will be investigated by the Public Defender’s Office. Khoshtaria refused to cooperate with the investigation, so the Public Defender decided to look into it anyway.
