**National Movement Criticizes President’s Decision**
The National Movement, a Georgian opposition party, is unhappy with President Salome Zurabishvili’s decision not to pardon former President Mikheil Saakashvili. Tina Bokuchava, the party’s chairwoman, said this decision will be seen as a failure by Western leaders.
Bokuchava believes that pardoning Saakashvili would have sent an important message in Georgia’s struggle against Ivanishvili’s regime, which she considers to be pro-Russian. She thinks this would have shown that President Zurabishvili stands on the side of a free and Western Georgia.
**Call for Unity**
Saakashvili has asked his supporters and the National Movement to participate in all formats that promote unity among opposition parties. Bokuchava said March 31 should be seen as a deadline for this unity, because if it’s not real, then talk about it should stop. She believes all parties should take action within their capabilities to defeat Ivanishvili’s regime.
**National Movement Stands by Unity**
The National Movement promotes unity and thinks it’s the best way to win against the current government. However, Bokuchava understands that everyone has the right to make their own decisions and can’t be forced into a unified front. She hopes March 31 will bring an end to “false talk” about unity and encourage all parties to take action.
