**X Suffers Widespread Outages, CEO Blames Ukraine**
The social media platform X was down for many users on March 10. CEO Elon Musk said the problem was caused by a “massive cyberattack” coming from IP addresses in Ukraine.
Musk told Fox Business that the attack was carried out with a lot of resources and might have been done by a country or a large group. But cybersecurity experts are skeptical about his claims.
They say that attacks like this can be done by small groups or individual hackers, not just countries. They use a type of attack called denial-of-service (DDoS), which sends too much traffic to a website, causing it to overload and go down.
**Industry Source Disagrees with Musk**
An industry source told Reuters that most of the traffic targeting X came from IP addresses in the U.S., Vietnam, Brazil, and other countries. They said that the amount of traffic coming from Ukraine was “insignificant”.
Musk has a history of blaming cyberattacks for technical problems on X. He also has a history of making inflammatory remarks about Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation will also insist on the release of prisoners and is ready to sign an agreement on mineral resources. The U.S. has never stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine for defensive purposes.
