**US Has Not Discussed Russia Sanctions Relief with EU, Says Rubio**

The US has not talked about easing sanctions against Russia with the European Union, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He made this statement on March 10, before a meeting with Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia.

Rubio was asked if Washington had discussed rolling back sanctions imposed on Russia due to its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He replied that “we’ve not gotten to that stage.” The Europeans have their own set of sanctions, and it’s up to them to decide what they are willing to do, he added.

The US has the means to increase pressure on Russia if needed, but Rubio hopes that such measures will not be required. The EU has imposed extensive economic sanctions on Russia since its invasion of Ukraine in 2022. These sanctions include economic restrictions and a list of over 2,400 individuals and entities subject to asset freezes and travel bans.

**Ukrainian and US Officials Meet in Saudi Arabia**

A meeting between Ukrainian and US officials is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on March 11. This meeting will have a significant impact on Washington’s future support for Kyiv and any effort to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

The US Secretary of State emphasized that any final resolution to the war would have to involve European leaders “because of their sanctions that they’ve imposed.”

**Russian Forces Suffer Heavy Losses**

Ukrainian forces intercepted 79 Russian drones overnight, including Shahed-type attack drones and one Iskander-M ballistic missile. This number includes over 1,300 casualties suffered by Russian forces in the past day.

**Denmark Prepared to Support European Presence**

If a European presence is needed for a ceasefire or peace agreement, Denmark is prepared to support it, according to Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.
