**Ukraine to Propose Ceasefire in Upcoming Talks with US**
The Ukrainian delegation will suggest a ceasefire at sea and in the sky during talks with the US this week. The meeting is scheduled for March 11 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
According to Ukrainian media outlet Suspilne, the proposal includes a ban on long-range strikes. A Ukrainian official speaking anonymously said that such a ceasefire would be easy to monitor and install.
The Ukrainian delegation will also push for the release of prisoners of war. They are ready to sign an agreement on mineral resources with the US. This deal was previously derailed due to a disagreement between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump, and US Vice President JD Vance.
**US Insists on Partial Truce**
The US delegation will insist that Ukraine agree to a partial truce to allow for negotiations to stop the Russian invasion. This was reported by Bloomberg on March 10.
Ahead of the meeting in Jeddah, Steve Witkoff, Trump’s Middle East envoy, expressed optimism about making substantial progress in talks with Ukraine. He said all signs are positive for signing the mineral resource agreement.
**Key Issues to be Discussed**
The US and Ukrainian delegations will discuss territorial issues, security protocols, and intelligence sharing during the meeting in Jeddah.
