**Ukraine’s Drone War Heats Up**

In February, Ukrainian drones destroyed 22% more Russian targets than in January, according to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. This shows how important drones are becoming on the battlefield.

Syrskyi said that first-person-view (FPV) drones and multi-rotor bombers are the most effective tools. He also stressed the need for a unified standard for unmanned systems in Ukraine’s Armed Forces to improve coordination between units.

**Russia Adapting**

However, Russia is quickly adapting to Ukraine’s drone warfare strategies. It’s developing its own technologies, including fiber-optic-controlled drones. Syrskyi warned that Ukraine must not lag behind and needs to strengthen itself with its own resources.

**Ukraine Expands Drone Production**

Over the past year, Kyiv has significantly expanded domestic drone production. The Defense Ministry launched the “Drone Line” initiative in February to accelerate drone deployment on the battlefield. Ukraine also developed long-range missile-drone hybrids like the Palianytsia and Peklo models.

**Global Developments**

The US canceled 83% of USAID programs, with remaining contracts to be administered by the State Department. The European Union is bracing for a potential Hungarian veto on extending sanctions against Russia. The UK denied allegations that it was providing arms to Russian-backed separatists in Ukraine.
