**Serbia on Strike Again**

A large part of Serbia was shut down for a second day as thousands of people took to the streets in protest.

On Friday, many private businesses closed their shops, while employees in state companies and institutions called in sick. People also boycotted retail outlets.

This move is a response to demands by protesting students. The first general strike happened on January 24, but this time it has gained more support from high school students, university heads, lawyers, and others.

**Protests Across the Country**

In the capital city of Belgrade, students held marches in the morning, afternoon, and evening. A big protest gathering was planned outside the headquarters of Serbian state TV (RTS).

In another major city, Novi Sad, students marched to 13 state-owned companies and institutions. They stopped at each place to demonstrate.
