**Journalist Detained: Global Group Demands Release**
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) is calling for the immediate release of Mzia Amaghlobeli, a media manager in Georgia. The CPJ says that Georgian officials have unfairly punished her and should let her go.
Mzia Amaghlobeli’s trial has been extended by the court, keeping her in detention. The CPJ strongly condemns this decision. Gulnoza Said, the group’s coordinator for Europe and Central Asia, said: “The persecution of Mzia Amaghlobeli is clearly punitive and unfair.”
**Demanding Justice**
The CPJ is highlighting that there has been no punishment for police who have attacked journalists in Georgia. This lack of accountability makes the treatment of Mzia Amaghlobeli even more unacceptable.
