**Terrorist Attack in Haifa Kills One, Injures Four**
A stabbing attack in a busy train and bus station in the Israeli city of Haifa has left one person dead and four others seriously injured.
The attacker, who was later shot dead by security guards, targeted passengers on a bus that had just arrived at the station. He then got off the bus and continued his attack on other people in the concourse area.
**Victims Identified**
The victim who died is a 70-year-old man, according to paramedics from the Magen David Ambulance service. Three others, including a 15-year-old boy and two men in their 30s, are being treated for serious injuries. A 70-year-old woman was moderately injured.
**Attacker Identified**
The attacker was identified as a Druze Israeli man from Shfaram, who had recently returned from abroad. It is rare for a Druze member to be involved in an attack like this in Israel.
**Political Reactions**
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack and vowed that Israel would continue to fight against terrorism. Hamas, however, praised the attacker as a “heroic” response to Israeli actions against Palestinians.
The statement from Hamas comes amid a stalemate over the future of a six-week ceasefire agreement with Israel in Gaza.
