DroneUA, a Ukrainian company that sells unmanned systems, has started sending robots to the United States for testing. The first batch of robots was sent to Virginia, where experts will test them and figure out how they can be used.

This partnership with NASA was started by the US space agency itself. DroneUA hopes it will lead to long-term cooperation between the two organizations. “Testing our solutions in the US is a big step towards lasting collaboration with NASA,” said Valerii Iakovenko, one of the company’s founders. He believes this shows that Ukrainian innovations are helping to shape the future.

The company thinks this partnership will help strengthen Ukraine’s economy and increase its presence on the global market. Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Digital Transformation Minister, welcomed the news. He said Ukrainian technologies are effective everywhere, including in space. “I’m proud of our talented developers,” he wrote. “They’re creating an innovative future.”

Fedorov also mentioned that Russia’s war has helped speed up innovation in Ukraine’s defense tech sector.
