**Serbia’s Public Debt at the End of 2024**
Serbia’s public debt has reached a new high. According to the Serbian Ministry of Finance, the country’s debt at the end of December 2024 was approximately EUR 38.87 billion.
This amount is equivalent to about 47.4% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). In comparison, the public debt at the end of November 2024 was slightly lower, at around EUR 38.39 billion or 46.8% of GDP.
The ministry also reported that Serbia’s public debt at the close of 2023 was EUR 36.15 billion, which accounted for about 48% of GDP.
