**Three Charged Over Canopy Collapse at Train Station**

A serious accident happened on November 1, 2024. A canopy at Novi Sad train station in Serbia collapsed, killing 15 people and injuring two more. Now, three people are facing charges over the incident.

The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has filed an indictment against Slobodanka K., Milutin S., and Biljana K. They work for Serbian Railways Infrastructure and the Commission for Technical Inspection of Novi Sad Train Station.

Prosecutor Nenad Stefanovic said that two members of the Commission are not being charged because there is no evidence they committed any crime. However, other suspects are facing charges under a different law.

The prosecutor’s office is also investigating how the train station was financed. This will be handled by the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime.
