**Actor Khalid Abdalla Questioned by Police Over Gaza Protest**
Actor Khalid Abdalla has been interviewed by police over his attendance at a pro-Palestinian rally in January. Abdalla, who played Dodi in Netflix’s The Crown, received a letter from the Metropolitan Police on Thursday.
The actor took to social media to share news of the interview, saying it was unclear if charges would be filed. Abdalla is one of Hollywood’s most outspoken actors regarding the Gaza-Israel conflict and has attended several pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
**Police Investigation**
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that eight people were invited to a police station for questioning under suspicion of violating the Public Order Act on January 18th. The police investigation is ongoing, and it is not clear if Abdalla will face charges.
Abdalla was not the first public figure to be questioned by police over the rally. Two men, aged 73 and 75, were previously released pending additional investigations.
**Protest and Arrests**
A large-scale protest took place in Whitehall on January 18th, with thousands of people participating. Despite a planned march near the BBC’s headquarters being blocked by police, the group made their way to Trafalgar Square. Several people were arrested for violating conditions, and 21 have been charged so far.
The Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, which organized the protest, has criticized the Metropolitan Police for their actions. The campaign said that the police claim of justification is a “complete misrepresentation” of what happened on the day and beforehand.
