**Russian Missile Hits Odesa Port**

On March 1, a Russian ballistic missile struck the Odesa port. The attack damaged port infrastructure and a foreign civilian ship flying the flag of Panama. Two port employees were injured in the incident.

The Swiss-owned container ship MSC LEVANTE F was sailing into the port earlier that day. No information is available about what cargo it was carrying or the extent of the damage.

This is not the first time foreign vessels have been damaged in Russian attacks on the Odesa port. In October 2024, multiple ships were hit in separate attacks.

**Ukraine’s Export Route**

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine has exported about 6 million tons of grain per month through ports along the Black Sea. After an initial blockade, a new export route was set up to allow for continued trade.

**International Support**

The international community continues to show support for Ukraine. The fundraiser “for nukes” has received over 27 million hryvnia ($649,000) in donations. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met on March 1, with Starmer stating that the UK will continue to back Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also commented on the situation, urging President Zelensky to find a way to restore his relationship with US President Donald Trump.

**Recent Developments**

In other news, Russian forces launched 154 Shahed-type attack drones and decoy drones against Ukraine overnight. One hundred and three drones were shot down, while 51 were lost without causing damage. This is in addition to the 1,060 casualties suffered by Russian forces over the past day.

Ukrainian authorities reported that all the strikes targeted central districts of the city, with emergency crews responding at multiple locations.
