**Students Protest in Nis**
A protest called “Student Edict” began today at 9 a.m. in the city of Nis, Serbia. Students and citizens gathered at four locations: Vardarska and Jovan Ristic Streets, near the Cathedral, the Niteks building, and the Faculty of Medicine.
**The Protest Continues**
The rally lasted until 11 a.m., then participants went on a protest walk to King Milan Square. At 11:52 a.m., they held a 15-minute silence for the victims of the Novi Sad Railway incident, where 17 people died in 1976.
**Long and Lively Protest**
The protest is planned to last until 3 a.m. tomorrow. Speeches and performances are being held at King Milan Square throughout the day.
**Support from Citizens and Organizations**
Citizens, students, pensioners, actors, and veterans of the 63rd Parachute Brigade are supporting the students. The city’s famous hospitality and food specialties are also on display, with people preparing food on the streets to feed everyone.
