U.S. President Donald Trump Made a Surprise Statement on Ukraine and Russia.
During a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, Trump said he is “for both Ukraine and Russia”. He made this statement on February 28.
The two leaders are expected to sign an important deal related to Ukraine’s natural resources. However, there was some trouble before they met. The initial draft of the deal was presented by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in Kyiv last week. But Zelensky did not like it and wanted changes.
This made Trump upset with President Zelensky. Last week, he even called him a “dictator”. He accused Zelensky of not holding elections and spreading false information about Ukraine’s government.
