**Ukrainians in Shropshire Skeptical of American Promises**
A Ukrainian woman living in Shropshire, England has expressed doubts about American promises to bring peace to Ukraine. Viktoriia Volos, a nurse who is currently working as a dishwasher in a restaurant, said that many people from her country find it hard to believe such claims.
Volos said that while world leaders have talked about ways to end the war, Ukrainian soldiers are still fighting for their freedom. She also expressed concerns about the impact of the war on her family and community.
“I’m worried about my family, about my country,” she said. “It’s a very difficult time for us.”
Volos also spoke about the challenges faced by Ukrainians living in Shropshire, including finding employment and making ends meet. She hopes to improve her English skills and find a job as a full-time nurse.
**Doubts About American Leadership**
Another Ukrainian living in Shropshire, Stanislav Kudym, expressed doubts about President Trump’s administration. He said that Ukrainians would struggle to believe promises of peace with the current leadership in the White House.
Kudym works for the charity Shropshire Supports Refugees and has helped many Ukrainians settle in the area. He said that while people are tired of war, some claims from the Trump administration have been “pathetic”.
“They’re trying to say that Ukrainians are the reason why Russia attacked us,” he said. “That’s horrible.”
**Refugee Community Grateful for Support**
Despite the challenges faced by Ukrainians in Shropshire, Kudym said that many people are grateful for the support they have received. He hopes that one day peace will be found and Ukrainians can return to their homeland.
