Woman from Ukraine Thanks Guernsey for Support
A woman living in Ukraine has expressed her gratitude to the people of Guernsey. Natalia Polischuk, who lives in Kyiv, has been touched by the support she and others have received.
The people of Guernsey have been helping out in many ways, including knitting baby hats, taking on challenges to raise money, and driving aid to Ukraine’s borders. Some even delivered small generators to help keep essential places like schools and hospitals running.
Marc Laine, who helped deliver generators, said he was inspired by the people he met in Ukraine. He felt a sense of comradery with the Ukrainians and was impressed by their enthusiasm for helping each other.
Polischuk thanked Guernsey’s support on the three-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion. She said that the generators provided by Marc and his team helped save lives during harsh winters. The support from around the world, including Guernsey, has been invaluable.
