Concerns Raised Over Georgia Situation
Many members of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly were part of an election observation mission in Georgia last October. The Head of the Norwegian Delegation, Siv Mossleth, expressed deep concerns about the situation there.
Siv Mossleth spoke at a joint meeting of three committees during the OSCE’s winter session. She condemned the use of force against protesters, journalists, civil society representatives, and opposition members in Georgia.
The police and security forces used brute force against these groups, according to Siv Mossleth. This action is causing concern among many people who were part of the election observation mission.
