**Czech Ambassador Speaks Out on Attack Against Ex-President**
Yesterday, Salome Zurabishvili, Georgia’s 5th President, was attacked. The Czech Ambassador to Georgia, Petr Kubernat, has spoken out against the attack.
In a statement, he said that the incident is “shameful” and must be properly investigated. He also called for an investigation into all other attacks on peaceful protesters and journalists. The ambassador emphasized that everyone in Georgia should have equal rights under the law.
Kubernat reminded that the right to a fair trial is guaranteed by Georgia’s Constitution. He urged for a timely and fair investigation into the attack against President Zurabishvili.
