Temporary Commission to Examine Past Government’s Activities

A temporary investigative commission in Georgia is set to meet on February 17. The commission was created to look into the actions of the government and politicians who were in power from 2003 to 2012.

The commission plans to hear from several people about what happened during that time period. One representative from the Ministry of Justice will talk about international disputes and problems with the law. Another person will discuss elections that took place between 2003 and 2012, including parliamentary, presidential, and local self-government elections.

A representative from the Prosecutor General’s Office will also attend to speak about criminal cases related to issues in the justice system. Additionally, a representative from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be there to talk about violations of the law that occurred between 2003 and 2012.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM on February 17.
