**Journalists Threatened at Serbian Rally**
A rally of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) was held in Sremska Mitrovica on Saturday. The event was meant to celebrate Serbia’s Statehood Day. However, things turned ugly for N1 reporters who were covering the event.
**Violence Against Journalists**
N1 reporter Ksenija Pavkov reported that people insulted and threatened them. She said that a man even told her that he couldn’t wait for all journalists to be killed. The reporter confirmed that this was not an isolated incident, but rather a pattern of behavior by the crowd.
**Buses from Bosnia**
According to Pavkov, there were many buses on their way to Sremska Mitrovica from Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, some of these buses were half empty. The reporters spoke to two women who said that they were given 5,000 dinars (around €42) as a daily allowance for attending the rally.
**Other Rallies in Serbia**
The Sremska Mitrovica rally was held at the same time as another rally in Kragujevac. Thousands of students and citizens gathered there to celebrate Serbia’s Statehood Day.
