A new commission has been set up in Georgia to investigate the activities of the previous government. The commission, led by Tea Tsulukiani, will look into the alleged crimes of the United National Movement (UNM) government that was in power from 2003-2012.

**Investigations to Focus on Penitentiary System**

Tsulukiani said that the commission will investigate various areas, including the penitentiary system, the judiciary, confiscated properties, public officials, and repression or persecution. The commission’s conclusions will be based on court rulings, international reports, and official documents.

**Citizens Can Submit Statements**

Tsulukiani announced that citizens who were interested in the work of the commission can submit their statements. She asked individuals to provide fact-based accounts of UNM’s “crimes” rather than general statements.
