European Parliament Resolution Criticized by Georgian Politician
A politician from Georgia’s ruling party, Rati Ionatamishvili, has criticized a recent resolution adopted by the European Parliament. He called it a “phantasmagoria”, which means something confusing and hard to understand.
Ionatamishvili also said that people who support the resolution are becoming part of a criminal system. This is because the resolution asks for the release of Mikheil Saakashvili, an opposition leader who was convicted of crimes.
The politician warned supporters of the resolution to think carefully about what they are supporting. “They should consider whom and what they are actually backing,” he said.
