**United Media CEO: N1 and Nova S Not Affected by Sale of SBB**

The sale of the Serbian cable and internet services provider, SBB, will not affect the independent N1 and Nova S TVs and portals. This is according to Aleksandra Subotic, CEO of United Media.

Subotic said that despite speculation about the future of her company’s brands and media outlets, there are no plans to change the ownership structure or editorial positions within United Media. The ruling party officials made what she called “inappropriate statements” on Wednesday trying to convince people that the sale of SBB means the end of media outlets within United Group.

**Independent Media Remains Unchanged**

Subotic stressed that N1 and Nova S continue working at full capacity, with the same journalistic standards and editorial policy. The country needs professional and responsible media now more than ever, she said. “The social and political situation in Serbia requires brave media that provide accurate, reliable, and impartial information,” Subotic stated.

**SBB’s New Owner Supports N1 and Nova S**

Etisalat PPF Telekom, the company that bought SBB, expressed a strong interest in keeping N1 and Nova S part of the offer. A contract was signed to keep those media outlets available to SBB and Yettel clients. The new owner recognizes these channels as a comparative advantage on the market.

**N1 and Nova S Will Continue to Provide Quality Content**

Subotic said that viewers will already have the opportunity to see this during the weekend because N1 is preparing a 24-hour special program during which it will report on student protests in Kragujevac. United Group sold Arena the rights to broadcast sports competitions held by Sport Klub Serbia, but Subotic pointed out that this was the only sustainable business solution.
