**Geneva International Discussions Co-Chairs Meet in Tbilisi**

The co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) met with the head of the Georgian delegation to the GID, Lasha Darsalia, on February 10. The meeting was held ahead of the 63rd round of the GID, scheduled for March 4-5.

**Main Issues Discussed**

The parties discussed the main issues on the GID agenda, including the EU-brokered ceasefire agreement and its implementation. They also talked about the return of internally displaced persons and the importance of resuming the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) in Gali without any preconditions.

**Security Concerns Raised**

The Georgian side expressed concern about the security situation in the occupied territories and near the occupation line. They also pointed out that some steps taken by Russia were a blatant violation of international law, including the illegal launch of an airport in Abkhazia.

**Illegality of Planned Elections**

The Georgian delegation emphasized that the planned presidential elections in Abkhavzia are another serious breach of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

**Meetings with South Ossetian and Abkhaz Delegations**

On February 11, the GID co-chairs visited Tskhinvali and met with the head of the South Ossetian delegation Konstantin Kochiev. He raised the issue of missing persons, which is a priority for his side.

The next day, on February 13, the GID co-chairs visited Sokhumi and met with Abkhazia’s de facto deputy foreign minister, Odyssey Bigvava, and other officials. They discussed the agenda for the upcoming talks and the resumption of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) in Gal.
