**Serbian Parliament’s Actions Challenged**
A group called the Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA) has asked the Serbian Constitutional Court to review 54 laws passed by parliament in December. The CRTA says these laws were adopted unfairly.
The CRTA claims that thousands of pages of documents show “serious flaws” in how the laws were made. They say this is a record low point for the parliament, which usually respects its own rules and the constitution.
According to the CRTA, the head of parliament, Ana Brnabic, was “irresponsible” in allowing these laws to pass. The group says debate on important issues was cut off, and votes were taken without proper consideration.
The CRTA wants the Constitutional Court to stop these laws from taking effect until it reviews them. They believe this is necessary to protect the parliament’s integrity as a democratic institution where citizens’ voices are heard.
