**United Group Sells SBB Cable and Internet Provider**
The United Group, a major telecommunications company in Southeastern Europe, has sold its Serbian cable and internet provider, SBB, to e& PPF Telecom. This decision was announced on Wednesday through a press release.
**What’s Happening**
SBB is one of the leading alternative pay TV, broadband internet, and fixed telephone services providers in Serbia. The United Group has also agreed to sell another business, Eon TV International Ltd (which includes NetTV Plus), to Telekom Srbija. These deals are worth €1.5 billion.
**What’s Next**
The United Group will continue to own and operate its key media outlets in Serbia, including N1 and Nova S. These channels will remain available on SBB’s fixed network and also be offered to Yettel customers.
**Timeline**
The transactions are subject to customary regulatory approvals and are expected to be completed during the first half of 2025.
