**US to Buy Gaza Strip, Says Trump**
President Donald Trump has said that the US is committed to buying the Gaza Strip. He made this statement in a speech, without saying who would sell it to him or how the US would own it.
Trump said that some parts of Gaza could be given to other Middle Eastern states to rebuild. Others might do it under US supervision. He stressed that the US was committed to taking control of Gaza and making sure Hamas does not return.
**No Clear Plan**
However, Trump did not reveal a clear plan for buying Gaza or how he would ensure Hamas does not move back in. He also did not say what would happen to the current residents of Gaza.
**Reactions from Others**
The Palestinian Authority strongly rejected Trump’s comments. They said that the land and rights of their people cannot be exchanged, bargained, or sold. The US has previously banned Hamas as a terrorist organization.
Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz also criticized Trump’s plan, calling it “scandal”. He stated that relocating a population is unacceptable and against international law.
**Other Leaders React**
Saudi Arabia condemned Netanyahu’s suggestion of displacing Palestinian people from their land. Egypt called the idea “reckless” and a direct infringement on Saudi sovereignty.
Jordan said that Netanyahu’s statement was a flagrant violation of international law. They stressed that the creation of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia is not acceptable.
