**Opposition Unites Against SNS Project**
Some opposition representatives in Serbia have united against the EXPO project, a large-scale exhibition set to be held in the country. The opposition members of parliament are calling for the project to be stopped, saying it is a corrupt deal that will lead to financial problems for the country.
**Journalist’s Call**
A journalist named Maja Divac recently called on opposition members to stop the EXPO project by submitting an initiative to the Bureau in Paris, along with a detailed explanation of why this request is being made. She also suggested that thousands of citizens could send a prepared text with the same demand.
**Opposition Response**
Nova.rs contacted some of the representatives of the largest opposition parties in Serbia to ask for their opinion on the action. Most of them agreed that they would support such an act and explained why.
**Green-Left Front**
The co-president of the Green-Left Front, Radomir Lazovic, said that his party would oppose harmful projects of the SNS, including the EXPO project. He reminded that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed that his country would participate in this exhibition and stated that he would personally write to the Chancellor to say that they should not support such a corrupt project.
**Serbia Center Party**
Zdravko Ponos, president of the Serbia Center party, said he supports any initiative that could lead to the cessation of the EXPO project. He called it a “looting platform” and stated that stopping the project is of national importance.
**Democratic Party**
Srdjan Milivojevic, president of the Democratic Party, shared his party’s position on this issue. They have strongly criticized the idea of irrational spending of budget funds and taxpayers’ money on meaningless megalomaniac projects aimed at mafia-style enrichment through corrupt deals with the regime’s top.
**People’s Movement of Serbia**
Miroslav Aleksic, president of the People’s Movement of Serbia, also stated that his movement would support the initiative. He said they would support any initiative aimed at preventing the looting and abuse of the project.
**Freedom and Justice Party**
Dusan Nikezic, vice president of the Freedom and Justice Party, said that his party’s MPs would support the initiative. He reminded that the cost of EXPO 2027 increased from 12 to 18 billion euros in just six months, and that it is being financed exclusively through excessive national debt.
