**Kosovo’s Parliamentary Elections: Voting Begins Abroad**
Voting started today at 7:00 AM in Kosovo’s diplomatic missions in Europe for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The elections are scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 9. In the United States and Canada, voting will start later at 1:00 PM Central European Time.
**Many Voting Stations Abroad**
The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced that voting will take place at 43 polling stations across 16 embassies and 14 consulates of Kosovo, located in 19 different countries. A total of 20,324 voters have registered to vote at these 30 diplomatic missions.
**Over Two Million Eligible Voters**
The right to vote in the Kosovo Assembly elections is held by over two million citizens. They will be able to exercise their voting rights at 941 polling centers and 2,533 voting stations across Kosovo.
**Serbs Displaced from Kosovo Can Vote**
Denials of claims that Serbs displaced from Kosovo would not be allowed to travel to vote in Kosovo on Sunday have been made by the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic. He stated that this was “fake news” aimed at preventing Serbs from going to vote.
**International Community Assures Freedom to Vote**
Petkovic said that international partners had confirmed to the official Belgrade that their representatives would be present at the administrative crossings to ensure the unhindered entry of displaced Serbs to vote. The Kosovo police have announced that only carriers with registered international routes, including Serbia, will be allowed to enter Kosovo on Sunday.
