**Police Bust Counterfeit Money Group**
Eurojust and Europol helped stop a group in Serbia and North Macedonia that was making fake euro coins and bills. The group sold these fake notes to people.
The police in both countries worked together on February 2. They arrested 12 people and found equipment used for counterfeiting money. In Serbia, they found over 180,000 fake euro banknotes. In North Macedonia, they found more than 500,000 fake notes.
This operation was made possible by a joint investigation team (JIT) set up by the authorities in North Macedonia and Serbia.
