**Farmers Block Road in Serbia**
Farmers in central Serbia blocked a major road with tractors on Wednesday. They were protesting a 60 percent increase in their property taxes.
The farmers blocked the Raca-Topola road for three hours in the afternoon. They said they would block the road for an extra hour every day until their demands are met. Their demands include the resignation of local officials and support for students who are also protesting.
Farmers have been using their tractors to block the municipal administration building in the Raca area. This is not the first time they have taken action against the increased taxes.
