Serbian Journalists Leave Government Group
The Serbian Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) has stopped working with the government’s group for journalist safety. This means they are no longer a part of this group.
A statement from ANEM said that many organizations, including journalists and media groups, have stopped working with the government. They used to be part of different working groups, like the one for journalist safety. This group was made over 10 years ago by the government and some media associations.
ANEM decided to leave this group because they are not happy with how the government is handling attacks on journalists in 2024. They feel that these attacks are not being dealt with properly.
