The war with Russia has highlighted the importance of technology innovation in national defense. To counter Russia’s advantages, Ukraine is accelerating its efforts to develop asymmetrical solutions.
**Key Technologies to Watch in 2025**
1. **AI-Powered Defense Innovations**: Brave1, a government platform for accelerating defense tech innovation, will support over 200 AI-driven innovations. These include drones capable of hitting targets even under electronic warfare interference.
2. **Anti-Shahed Defenses**: Ukrainian innovators are working to counter the threat posed by Russian Shahed suicide drones.
3. **Unmanned Ground Vehicles**: Land-based technologies are also a priority, with over 300 solutions examined and more than 40 codified according to NATO standards.
4. **Domestic Missile Program**: Ukraine’s domestic missile program is rapidly developing, allowing for more long-range drone strikes into Russian territory.
