Serbian Artists Protest Ministry of Culture
A group of artists, actors, and writers blocked the street in front of the Serbian Parliament on Monday. They were protesting against the government’s treatment of culture over the past 13 years.
The protesters said that culture had suffered under the current regime. The protest was initiated by a group called “Culture in Blockade”. This group supports students who are also protesting and demanding changes.
The artists community expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation in Serbia and the way the Ministry of Culture is handling things. They want better conditions for arts and culture in the country.
