**Journalists Protest Prime Minister’s Arrival**
Media representatives in Georgia were not happy when Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze arrived at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium. They protested his arrival and showed solidarity with a journalist who was detained, Mzia Amaglobeli.
The journalists held up photos of Amaglobeli and chanted slogans like “Freedom for Mzia” and “Fire to Oligarchy”. They were unhappy that the Prime Minister was allowed into the stadium while some media representatives were not. The entrance gate was locked with a padlock, which added to their frustration.

Journalist Gela Mthivlishvili told reporters that they were protesting because Amaglobeli had been on hunger strike for 18 days and her health was at risk. They demanded her immediate release from prison, saying she was an “illegal political prisoner”. The protesters vowed to keep fighting until all prisoners of conscience were freed.

Law enforcement officers were present at the scene, surrounding the area where the protest was taking place.
