Belgrade University Students Start Protest at Major Traffic Junction

Students from Belgrade University and other institutions in the city started a 24-hour road block protest on Monday. The protest took place at Autokomanda junction, which is a major traffic hub that connects several parts of the city.

The students did not block the highway through Belgrade, but instead stayed on a bridge and intersecting roads leading from the center of the city to suburban areas. This was done to avoid disrupting traffic.

Students marched together from different parts of the city, including Slavija Circle, Vozdovac neighborhood, Zemun, and New Belgrade. They were accompanied by farmers from the University School of Agriculture who came with tractors.

To prevent any incidents during the protest, President Aleksandar Vucic called the police to ensure safety. Traffic police patrols were also present at the scene, redirecting traffic and preventing drivers from trying to ram through the crowd. Several private cars were parked across the street leading from Slavija to Autokomanda to protect protesters.

The protest continues for 24 hours. Read More @ n1info.rs
