**Serbia’s Government Falls Due to Public Pressure**
The government of Serbia has fallen, but it’s not because of foreign influence. Instead, it’s because of growing pressure from the public, led by students. This is according to MEP Tonino Picula.
**Students Lead the Way**
Picula said that the protests in Serbia are a result of increasing pressure on President Aleksandar Vucic’s government by the domestic public. Students have been at the forefront of these protests, and they’re demanding justice and accountability for the lives lost in a tragic accident in Novi Sad.
**EU Support**
Some politicians from EU member states have supported President Vucic in the past. But it remains to be seen if this support will continue now that the government has fallen. Picula questioned whether some of these leaders will continue to back autocratic governments.
**Students Have Potential for Change**
The outcome of the protests depends on what happens next. The students have shown a lot of potential, and they could bring about deeper changes in Serbia.
