Hungary Won’t Stop Visa-Free Travel for Georgian Diplomats
Hungary’s Foreign Minister, Péter Szijjártó, says the country will not stop visa-free travel for Georgian diplomats. This is despite a decision by the European Union to suspend such travel.
The EU made this decision because of Georgia’s relations with Russia. However, Hungary does not agree with the EU’s decision. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that decisions about Georgia should be made in Georgia, not in Brussels.
Yesterday, the EU decided to stop visa-free travel for Georgian diplomats. This means that they will have to get visas before traveling to Europe. The EU wants countries to follow this rule themselves.
