**Ukrainian Lawmaker Attends Trump Inauguration**
David Arakhamia, the leader of Ukraine’s Servant of the People party, was among the few foreign leaders to attend President Donald Trump’s inauguration last week. He was joined by former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Arakhamia declined to comment on his presence at the event when asked by Ukrainian journalists. However, before the inauguration, he attended a party called Stars and Stripes & Union Jack, where he met with top officials from Trump’s administration.
**Expecting Ukraine Delegation Meeting**
After the event, Arakhamia said that a formal Ukrainian delegation is expected to meet with the US president’s team next month. This meeting comes as Trump has reiterated his intent to pursue a peace deal in Ukraine but has not provided many details.
Trump has also expressed his desire to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a potential peace deal in Ukraine. He said that Putin is “destroying Russia by not making a deal” and acknowledged doubts about Moscow’s willingness to negotiate.
**US Envoy Expected to Visit Ukraine**
The Trump administration’s Ukraine peace envoy, Keith Kellogg, is expected to visit Ukraine and meet with Ukrainian officials. This comes as efforts continue to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
