**Farmers Blocked from Reaching University in Novi Sad**
This morning, police blocked the road for farmers who were heading to a university center in Rumenka, a suburb of Novi Sad. The farmers had been joined by students, citizens, and opposition members.
After some time, the Gendarmerie withdrew its forces and left the area with applause from the crowd. The decision was made to protect the students and secure their safe passage through intersections.
“We promised to keep the students safe,” said Goran Filipovic from Kisac. “We will form a ring around them so that no one can hurt a single child in Serbia.” There are currently 17 tractors parked outside the campus, but more may be added later, reaching up to 30 tractors in total.
