**Most Ukrainians Think Peace Without Full Territory Will Fail**

A recent survey in Ukraine shows that 57% of people believe a peace agreement without giving back all of Ukraine’s land will not work. This is according to a study by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) published on January 23.

The poll found that this view was shared across different age groups, regions, and language practices in Ukraine. The survey also showed that people who think giving up territory would be bad were more likely to have negative views about US President Donald Trump’s new administration.

Most respondents, over half of them, had a positive view of President Trump’s presidency. However, those who strongly agreed with the idea of keeping all Ukrainian land were more likely to see his presidency as not good.

**Expectations for Peace Talks Rising**

There are hopes for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia in 2025. US President Donald Trump has said he will bring these two countries together to talk. Reports say that he might delay Ukraine’s membership in NATO by 20 years in exchange for more Western help and a ceasefire monitored by European forces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also wants to end the conflict in 2025, but says Russia will not give up any territory.
